It’s official! One of Hollywood’s sexiest bachelors is a married man. George Clooney and human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin tied the knot at the luxurious Aman Canal Grande resort in Venice, Italy today.
“George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were married today in a private ceremony in Venice, Italy,” the actor’s rep said in a statement. Engaged since April, it was a whirlwind romance for the A-lister, who began dating the Brit last October.
Clooney, 53, an Alamuddin, 36, had plenty of celebrity guests on hand to celebrate with them including Vogue’s Anna Wintour, Matt Damon and Bill Murray.
This is the first marriage for Alamuddin and the second marriage for Clooney. The Academy Award winning actor was previously married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.
