Superstar Tim McGraw has traded one addiction for another. The country crooner recently gave up his hard-partying lifestyle, but sources tell Star that his newfound devotion to fitness is leaving him downright manorexic!
“My workout program took the place of alcohol, and it’s really important,” explained Tim, who revealed that his drinking was once so out of control he was faced with a stark choice: whiskey or his wife. But his longtime love, Faith Hill, isn’t loving the new teetotaling Tim much better.
“It’s gotten to the point that he’s not even fun to be around, because all he wants to do is talk about exercise and diet,” says an insider, adding that while Tim’s family no longer has to drag him out of the bar, Faith and their three daughters are now competing with his four hour long workouts and shirtless selfies.
“I’ll be the first to admit I take it to extremes,” Tim confessed. “I’m not one of those people who can sorta half-ass something.”
But if he keeps up his workout regime, he won’t have any ass left! Weight-loss expert Alicia Hunter tells Star that 6’0″ Tim, who follows a diet of healthy protein, veggies and nuts, should weigh around 170 lbs. “Tim looks to be around 138 lbs,” she says. “Intense devotion to both his diet program and exercise regime could actually be bad for his general health — it’s zapping him of the energy he needs for touring and performing.”
