Another Royal Baby is on the way! An official announcement was made Monday morning that Kate Middleton is pregnant with she and Prince William’s second child.
“The Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child,” the announcement read. “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
Unfortunately, the Duchess is once again plagued by acute morning sickness. “As with her first pregnancy, the Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum,” the statement continued. “Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.”
Because of the illness and Kate’s prior engagements, the announcement of her pregnancy was made earlier than planned.
Prince William married Kate in April 2011, and they welcomed their first child, Prince George, in July 2013.
