Joan Rivers remains in grave condition following her hospitalization last Thursday. The comedian’s daughter, Melissa Rivers, gave an update on her mom’s status Tuesday morning.
“On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we’ve received,” she said in a statement. “At this time she does remain on life support. I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers.”
Joan was rushed to the hospital last week after she stopped breathing during a minor throat surgery.
Taping of the 81-year-old’s E! show Fashion Police for this week and next has been canceled. “E! will be airing two E! From Fashion Police specials that will deliver the latest news and information from the highly-anticipated event,” the network said, in regard to the replacement content.
Joan is being treated at Mount Sinai hospital in New York City.
