Just because the Kardashians aren’t happy about her Latina Magazine interview, doesn’t mean Adrienne Bailon is backing down! The singer took to Instagram to stand by the comments she made about ex-boyfriend, Rob Kardashian, and being attached to his family’s name because of their relationship.
“Fame and a Career are two different things,” her post reads. “I’ve always had a career. I’ve been working hard since I was 15 years old. Being someone’s “girlfriend” was never what I wanted to be famous for. What makes you “famous” isn’t always what you want to be “labeled” as, or known for. If anyone should understand that…it should be you.”
In her original interview, Adrienne admitted, “To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and my career. I probably realized that too late — not that it would’ve affected my decisions in terms of who I dated, but it would’ve affected my decision to appear on the show.” From there, Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian stood up for their little bro by slamming the former Disney star on Twitter.
Adrienne reiterated in her retaliation post, though, that she has no regrets about dating Rob. “I also stated in the article that none of this would have stopped me from being in love and being in that relationship,” she explained. “I just would have gone about it differently. You can love someone just as much in private. We all learn from our first loves.”
