It’s been almost one year since Cory Monteith tragically died from an accidental drug overdose, but now, the Glee family is facing another tragedy. Season 4 and 5 star Becca Tobin‘s boyfriend was found dead in a Philadelphia hotel room on Thursday afternoon.
According to TMZ, the actress and boyfriend Matt Bendik were out with friends on Wednesday night, and left the club they were at together. Sometime just after noon on Thursday, though, a hotel maid found Matt dead in his room, and at this point, it’s unclear where Becca was at that time.
The site reports that there was no drugs or drug paraphernalia found in the room, or evidence of foul play or suicide at this time. The Philadelphia Police Department are calling the passing a “sudden death.”
Last July 13, Glee star Cory, who was dating costar Lea Michele at the time, was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room due to an overdose on heroin and alcohol.
