Angelina Jolie makes her second directorial attempt in the upcoming film Unbroken, and a new trailer for the book-turned-movie hit the web on Thursday.
The movie tells the true story of Olympic track runner Louis Zamperini, who is shot down in a WWII fighter plane and forced to survive in the middle of the ocean for more than 40 days. Once rescued, he’s taken as a prisoner of war by the Japanese, where he’s held and tortured for almost two years.
The 2:30 trailer gives a fairly thorough look at the journey Louis went on, without showing too many details regarding what exactly he did to survive.
Sadly, the real-life Louis Zamperini (played by Jack O’Connell) recently passed away at the age of 97.
