Single Katie Holmes has a new matchmaker — her dad! But Papa Holmes isn’t so much playing Cupid as cop, insisting on vetting any new guys in Katie’s life before she even dates them.
“Her father is very, very traditional and strict,” the actress’ former etiquette teacher, Margaret O’Brien, tells Star in an exclusive interview. “He can get to the point of being overbearing, and she’d better do what he says, other wise there could be trouble.”
Margaret adds, “If she meets someone and likes him, her father makes sure to see what he’s like and how he treats her and all that. I think she still listens to him like she did when she was 16.”
So much for leaving controlling men in the past!
