Things will be a little different when The Biggest Loser returns next fall — and it’s not because of Rachel Frederickson’s controversial weight loss from last season! NBC announced on Wednesday that Jillian Michaels will not return as a trainer for the show’s 16th season.
“After helping hundreds of contestants transform their lives and inspiring millions of viewers at home, The Biggest Loser and Jillian Michaels have decided to part ways and she will not be returning for Season 16 when it airs in the fall,” the network said in a statement.
This isn’t the first time Jillian has taken a break from the show, though. She took Season 3 off in 2006, and then took a mini hiatus for Seasons 12 and 13 in 2011.
The personal trainer has yet to comment on the decision.
