Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield Tell Off the Paparazzi...For Charity!

Emma andrew

Fame can be used for good — and Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have once again proven that with their latest paparazzi stunt!

When the Amazing Spider-Man actors noticed a group of paparazzi ready to snap their photos, the couple held up handwritten signs shouting out charitable organizations. The signs read, “Good Morning! We were eating and saw a group of guys with cameras outside. And so we thought, let’s try this again. We don’t need the attention, but these wonderful organizations do… www.youthmentoring.org, www.autismspeaks.org (and don’t forget!) www.wwo.org and www.gildasclubnyc.org. Here’s to the stuff that matters. Have a great day!”

According to their respective sites, the Youth Mentoring Connection offers underprivileged youth a professional and emotional support system through a mentor program, and the Autism Speaks foundation aims to advocate and spread awareness for Autistic individuals, while dually raising money for autism research.

Meanwhile, the Worldwide Orphans Foundation and Gilda’s Club NYC are the same two organizations that the couple called attention to when they first pulled this stunt two years ago! In September 2012, the pair held up signs directing onlookers to the WWO website, which explains its mission to help orphans become independent and productive members of their community, and the Gilda’s Club site, which describes the organization as a support network for cancer sufferers.

Since the notable encounter, the Youth Mentoring Connection has thanked Emma and Andrew for sharing their message, while Gilda’s Club features the actress as an ambassador on their website’s homepage.

Kudos on finally finding a way to use the paparazzi for good, you two!
