Welcome back, Maroon 5! On Monday, the band released the first single from their upcoming album V, “Maps.”
For V, the band reunited with keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, who took a brief hiatus from the group for 2012’s Overexposed. They recorded the album in Los Angeles last year.
It’s been a busy year for lead singer Adam Levine, who’s continued his role as a coach on The Voice, which airs two, three-month seasons each year. The singer also got engaged to Behati Prinsloo last summer, and their wedding is reportedly coming soon.
V will be released in its entirety on Sept. 2.
