Family functions at Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s house are about to get a lot more awkward. On May 13, Dean’s son, Jack, took to Twitter to defend his father — and tell the world that his stepmother’s marriage-in crisis reality show is nothing but a pack of lies!
“‘Reality’ show my ass!” the 15-year-old tweeted. “It’s all set up plz don’t buy into it. My father is not what the show makes him to be, he is a good man.”
On True Tori, Dean is portrayed as a compulsive cheater, while the Beverly Hills 90210 star is depicted as a long-suffering, devoted mom…and Jack has had enough. “Tori has proven she’ll do whatever it takes to support her lavish lifestyle and keep herself in the public eye,” an insider tells Star. “Jack’s not going to let Tori destroy his dad and his reputation with her fake, ‘I’m a victim’ show.”
In December, a report surfaced that Dean had cheated on Tori with a woman named Emily Goodhand, and just weeks later, the actress had a deal with Lifetime to chronicle her marital woes in a six-part series. Viewers sympathized with her at first, but it wasn’t long before many began to question her motives in allowing cameras to film such personal aspects of her life — especially since she and her husband have four young children.
“Many people don’t think [the affair] happened,” the source adds. “After all, no Emily Goodhand has ever surfaced, and she has no digital fingerprint on the Web.”
While Dean definitely has issues, the pal believes Tori invented the scandal “to make the show more dramatic,” and Jack feels the same. “He’s fed up,” the insider concludes. “He loves his dad and he doesn’t think this is fair at all.”
