Q&A: Elizabeth Stewart Dishes on Styling A-List Celebs!

Elizabeth

According to a survey conducted by Marshall’s , 75% of women have said no to an activity or opportunity due to lack of confidence! So, the off-price retailer enlisted the help of celeb stylist Elizabeth Stewart to provide confidence boosting tips to help women become more confident in fashion and life.

Elizabeth works extensively with A-List celebs like Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron, and many more. Star caught up with the fashionista about her career, and how she dresses celebs for confidence:

Where/who do you get information from while styling?

From the people I work with, the designers and what they’re doing, from history and art.

How do you dress celebs for confidence?

Confidence plays a key role in styling my clients. A great outfit that not only looks good, but makes them feel good — it’s what’s going to give them the needed boost to walk the red carpet confidently, get photographed from every angle possible, and be seen around the world. But I know not everyone is on a celebrity budget, which is why I was so excited to team up with Marshalls to show how women can boost their confidence with the help of quality fashion at amazing prices.

What’s your favorite part of the styling process?

Getting to work with amazing clothes! And I love mixing high and low. I love how I can score amazing high-end designers at Marshalls for a great price and also find my favorite jeans and tees to mix with it.

How do you ensure that your looks are on-trend but still original?

I don’t let trends dictate my styling choices, but it’s important for me to keep up to date on what’s out there! My teenage daughter helps a lot with giving me her youthful perspective on fashion.

What’s your most memorable moment from a celeb styling?

Stylists are always onto the next time. I’m writing from Cannes, which is going to be exciting and full of fantastic red carpet moments! But I will never forget a fantastic Sex and the City press tour with Kristin Davis — we used all amazing vintage couture from Decades in Los Angeles.
