Controversy has surrounded Juan Pablo Galavis on The Bachelor all season long, and there was no shortage of it in Monday’s finale!
During (and after) the live After the Final Rose show, the single dad received mass public criticism for not saying, “I love you,” to winner Nikki Ferrell since he gave her the final rose in St. Lucia four months earlier. He was also under fire for his mistreatment of runner-up, Clare Crawley, who was not happy with the reality star’s rejection and “inappropriate” comment he made during their final date.
JP kept quiet on social media throughout the evening, but took to Instagram on Tuesday to defend himself. “Throw me to the wolves and I’ll come back leading the pack,” the photo read. The night before, he uploaded a picture of himself with Nikki and captioned it, “We are FREE.”
The Season 18 winner also received criticism for sticking by Juan Pablo, despite his seeming inability to commit. “You can’t rush something you want to last forever,” she explained on her own Instagram.
Maybe these two belong together, after all…
