It was a star-studded affair at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday evening — and Star has the scoop on what went down inside the event!
Heidi Klum was almost inseparable with the party’s host all night long, and the two were having a blast on the dance floor. At one point, they recruited Sharon Osbourne to swing dance with them to Pharrell’s “Happy,” and the intense moves had the crowd cracking up. The 40-year-old model was sipping champagne constantly, getting more and more rowdy as the night went on, and while she arrived to the party solo, she was joined later by her new boyfriend, Vito Schnabel — and they were not shy about their PDA! At one point, she sat on the 27-year-old’s lap while chatting with Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian.
For the first hour or so of the party, the Kardashians kept to themselves, before splitting up to mingle. While Kim sat with Sharon, her sisters took their moves to the dance floor. “They sure didn’t have a care in the world and loved making fun of themselves,” an eyewitness revealed. Before the dance party, though, Khloe appeared pretty mellow. “Kourtney kept rubbing her arm and was trying to cheer her up,” our insider added.
Meanwhile, Ashley Greene and Lydia Hearst were having a heart to heart, that got so deep, the Twilight star even started tearing up! They shared a hug, and the actress spent the rest of the party with boyfriend, Paul Khoury. “They were absolutely head over heels for each other and looked terrified to leave each other’s side,” a witness dished.
Also in attendance was Britney Spears, with boyfriend, David Lucado. For the most part, the couple kept to themselves, although the popstar was constantly being asked for pictures. “Britney was super rigid and timid the entire night,” an insider explained, “but was all smiles as per usual.” Throughout the event, she talked with the Kardashian sisters and even hit the dance floor with her beau.
Fellow pop singer Lady Gaga was quite the opposite, though — a complete social butterfly! She interacted with just about everyone at the party, but spent most of her time with Kelly Rowland. The ladies even shared lip gloss in the bathroom!
Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke wasn’t quite as happy. “She completely skipped the carpet and was sitting down with a terrible face on for the entire party,” a source spilled. “She looked like she had just gotten in a fight with someone, or something, and her face was not doing a good job at hiding her mood.”
