Breakups aren’t easy! Robin Thicke fans in three different cities were disappointed recently, when the singer canceled three shows due to alleged vocal troubles. However, it’s reported that the real reason may be his recent separation from wife Paula Patton.
The couple announced on Monday that they’ve decided to separate after nearly nine years of marriage. Before the news broke, the “Blurred Lines” singer had already concert two concerts over the weekend. “I never want to let down my fans, but I have unfortunately lost my voice and cannot perform tomorrow night,” he said in a statement on Thursday.
However, he reportedly then flew to Vancouver, where Paula is shooting a movie, to try and save things one last time. Unfortunately, his best efforts didn’t work, and yesterday, they released their joint statement. “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” they announced.
On Tuesday, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in North Carolina revealed that Robin’s concert that night would be postponed “due to unforeseen circumstances.” No word yet on what this means for his next tour date, Thursday, in Washington, D.C.
