Kendall Jenner shocked the world last week, when she completely exposed her nipples in a sheer sweater for the Marc Jacobs Fashion Show. For the 18-year-old, though, walking that runway during New York Fashion Week was about a lot more than showing some skin.
“When I found out, I was at my modeling agency, so my agents were trying to play a trick on me and pretend that it wasn’t happening,” she told Grazia Daily. “Then they told me and made such a big deal out of it, so we were celebrating for at least five minutes. It was amazing.”
She added, “It’s one of my biggest dreams to be able to walk in shows like that, so it was an awesome day.”
The reality star received a lot of criticism for her decision to wear such a risque outfit, but she explained that she felt surprisingly comfortable doing so. “I was a bit nervous, but to be honest, I was less nervous than expected,” she admitted. “I was really comfortable with the environment and the people around me, so I felt really good about it. I thought I would be shaking, but making friends with a lot of the models helped.”
After the Marc Jacobs show, Kendall jetted to London, where she sat next to Vogue editor Anna Wintour. On Monday, she returned to the runway for the Giles Fashion Show during London Fashion Week.
