Less than a year ago, Paula Deen lost her TV contract and was dropped by many of her sponsors after she was involved in a racial discrimination lawsuit. The case was eventually dropped, but the celebrity chef’s career still took a hit — but now, she’s making a comeback!
The 67-year-old southerner has teamed up with investor Najafi Media on a new company called Paula Deen Ventures. It will include all of her restaurants, cookbooks, cruises, cookware and more.
On Wednesday, the CEO of Najafi Media issued a statement saying that he has “a deep respect for the hard work, unique content and quality products which Paula has built around her brand.”
The investment deal is for $75 million.
