The trouble continues for Justin Bieber. On Wednesday, the singer turned himself into a Toronto police station to face charges in an assault case. The incident in question occurred on Dec. 29, when he allegedly got into an altercation with a limo driver.

The 19-year-old’s lawyer says he anticipates the crime will be treated to the equivalent of a misdemeanor in the United States. “Our position is that Mr. Bieber is innocent,” he adds. “As the matter is now before the court, it would be inappropriate to address the specifics of either the allegation or our defense at this time.”

Meanwhile, Justin is also currently dealing with an arrest last Thursday in Miami. He was charged with DUI, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest, and will be arraigned on Feb. 14. However, he is not required to attend the hearing.

The “Heartbreaker” singer seems to be living life as usual, though. On Wednesday, he spent the day promoting his new video for “Confident” on Twitter, and has yet to specifically acknowledge any legal trouble.
