Now that she’s turned 21, New Year’s Eve will likely one giant party for Miley Cyrus! But the singer will have to hold off the partying for a few extra hours, because it was just announced Wednesday that she’ll perform on 2014’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

RyanSeacrest asked me to perform in Times Square for #RockinEve!!” she tweeted. Ryan Seacrest confirmed the news during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, revealing, “We just added Miley Cyrus to be in Times Square just before the ball drops. We try to look for the artist that’s created a lot of buzz and had a really big year.”
Originally, the “Wrecking Ball” singer was scheduled to host the Fontainebleau party in Miami Beach with Pharrell Williams. “I’m bummed I won’t be in Miami. wanna thank the homies @

Ryan will host the NYE extravaganza, beginning at 10 p.m. on Dec. 31.
