Generally, Britney Spears is shy and somewhat quiet when it comes to doing interviews. But, when the singer stopped by Entertainment Tonight recently, she had qualms with opening up about her boyfriend, David Lucado.
“I’m in love,” she gushed. “I like the fact that [he is] very stubborn and he’s stuck in his ways. He’s just a simple man. I adore him. He’s really funny and he’s really passionate. I love the fact that anything he’s involved in he’s passionate about and it’s contagious.”
The 31-year-old first stepped out with her new man last Valentine’s Day, just one month after the end of her engagement to Jason Trawick was announced. During the interview, she revealed that the duo met through mutual friends, and that her dad even did a background check on David beforehand!
Luckily, things should be fairly simple for the couple, considering Brit will be staying in one place for at least two years beginning this December — she’s headlining a residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. “It just felt like the ideal thing to do,” she admitted. “So I’m really excited about it. It’s going to be different, but I’m excited.”
