Celeb Feud of the Day: Miley Cyrus Takes on Sinead O'Connor

Miley Cyrus & Sinead O'Connor

Well, here’s a change of heart. Although Miley Cyrus said that Sinead O’Connor’s video for “Nothing Compares” inspired the idea behind “Wrecking Ball,” she’s now publicly bashing the singer…and vice versa!

It all started on Wednesday, when Sinead penned an open letter to Miley about the image she’s recently been putting across. Highlights include: “I am extremely concerned for you that those around you have led you to believe, or encouraged you in your own belief, that it is in anyway “cool” to be naked and licking sledgehammers in your videos,” “The music business doesn’t give a s–t about you, or any of us. They will prostitute you for all you are worth, and cleverly make you think it’s what YOU wanted,” and “The message you keep sending is that it’s somehow cool to be prostituted..it’s so not cool Miley, it’s dangerous.”

Apparently, the “We Can’t Stop” singer didn’t agree with the comments, and called her out for all of Twitter to see. “Before Amanda Bynes there was…” she wrote, along with a photo of what appeared to be a stream of tweets from the 46-year-old, desperately pleading for psychiatric help. The Twitter account in question doesn’t belong to Sinead anymore, however, back in 2012, she did reportedly write them from her account.

To dig the knife a little deeper, Miley subsequently posted a photo of Sinead from a Saturday Night Live appearance, during which she controversially ripped a photo of the Pope in half. At the time, the incident was the talk of the town — could Miley be alluding that she’ll be bringing something equally as shocking when she appears on the show this weekend?
