Another one bites the dust! After seven seasons, True Blood will come to an end in 2014. HBO made the announcement on Tuesday.
“True Blood has been nothing short of a defining show for HBO,” the network’s president of programming said, adding, “Together with its legion of fans, it will be hard to say goodbye to the residents of Bon Temps, but I look forward to what promises to be a fantastic final chapter of this incredible show.”
The vampire series has garnered a loyal set of fans since its premiere in 2008. Its sixth season ended in August, taking in 10.6 million viewers per episode, and continues to be one of the most popular HBO series.
