After weeks of drama and scrutiny, Paula Deen has been dismissed of the charges against her in a racial discrimination lawsuit. Judge William T. Moore threw out the claims that restaurant manager Lisa Jackson filed against the celebrity chef, which stated that she subjected her to racist attitudes for five years.
The judge ruled that Jackson had no right to claim racial discrimination because…she’s white. “As Ms. Deen stated before, she is confident that those who truly know how she lives her life know that she believes in equal opportunity, kindness and fairness for everyone,” a rep for the 66-year-old said in a statement.
While on the stand, Paula admitted to using the N word in the past — which caused her to be dropped by the Food Network and lose several business partners and job opportunities.
Jackson also followed sexual harassment charges against Paula and her brother, which still stand in the ongoing case.
