Believe it or not Paris Hilton is busier than ever! In addition to working on her new album, Paris is opening a hotel in the Philippines and putting out her sixteenth fragrance.
We caught up with the 32-year-old socialite-turned-mogul at the Asphalt Yacht Club Launch Event on July 27 in Los Angeles, where she dished about her upcoming projects, working with Lil Wayne on her album, her favorite summer trends, and much more.
How has your summer been going?
I’m having so much fun! I finished my music video two days ago and I saw it for the first time last night and it looks amazing so I’m really excited about that.
Any favorite summer TV shows, movies, books or songs?
I don’t have much time to watch TV but I do love Revenge. That’s a really great show. I love “Get Lucky” by Pharrell and “Blurred Lines”. This is the End was hilarious. So funny! A book I’ve read three times now is The Power of Now. I just really love that book. I think it’s so inspirational and it’s something that I love reading all the time. I like watching Simple Life all the time. My boyfriend and I will just old episodes and laugh. It just brings back a lot of fun memories.
Any favorite summer trends?
Really bright neon colors! I’m wearing a lot of hot pink, neon yellow, and things that really stand out.
What have you been working on recently?
I’m releasing my album soon and I’m opening my own property, a hotel in the Philippines. I have seventeen product lines, I’m about to release my sixteenth fragrance, and I’m just keeping busy! I try to do them all differently. I have sixteen fragrances now so I try to always make them a little different. We came up with a really amazing concept and a great name. I just picked the bottle yesterday and I’m excited about it.
How was it working with Lil Wayne?
He’s so awesome. He’s so down to earth and chill and so talented. He can just write on the spot and come up with these amazing verses. The song that we did together is so incredible and I’m so happy about it. I was surprised at how intelligent he was and he was just such a gentleman. When you meet some people you don’t really know what to expect and with him, he was just such a kind person with a big heart and I really love him.
What do you think of the new addition to the Royal family?
I think it’s amazing that they have a new little Prince. I’m sure he is going to be beautiful and I’m so happy for them. They are such a lovely couple. I love the name George. I think it’s part of the family and it’s nice to stick with tradition.
