The world is on Royal Baby watch, and we’re on the lookout for any telltale sign that Kate Middleton and Prince William’s first baby is on the way. On Thursday, Queen Elizabeth II may have just given us that hint we’ve been waiting for!
The Queen attended a cricket match at Lords today, but left early, unexpectedly, leading bystanders to assume that she was rushing to be with her family while Kate gave birth. At the same time, London is currently experiencing a heat wave, so she could’ve been simply trying to escape the scorching temperatures.
Queen Elizabeth reportedly arrived to the match 15 minutes late, but then spent some time with the players on the field. However, she did leave before she was scheduled to.
If Kate is in labor, the Queen is probably quite happy — she’s heading to Scotland for vacation next week, and said yesterday that she hopes the baby comes before then. William’s grandmother also added that she has no preference regarding whether or not the baby is a boy or girl.
