Demi Lovato is back to blonde! Although we’re used to seeing the “Heart Attack” singer with dark, brunette locks, she debuted a chopped and much lighter hairstyle at the 8th Annual Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day on Tues., May 7.
Demi changes up her hair often, but this is a pretty drastic change compared to just dying the tips. The new ‘do is reportedly for the singer’s video for her upcoming single “Made in the USA,” which is expected to blow up radio charts this summer.
Although Demi’s new album (self titled Demi) isn’t due out until Tues., May 14, she did fans a favor by giving them the opportunity to unlock all the new songs on Monday through a Twitter campaign. By tweeting out the album’s songs with a hashtag, fans were able to “speed up time” and make the album come that much faster. Simply put, the more tweets, the sooner the song was released.
