WWE Presents 13th Annual Tribute To The Troops

WWE Superstars and Divas such as Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Sheamus and Paige visited military personnel and their families in Jacksonville Tuesday as part of the 13th annual WWE Tribute to the Troops.

The Superstars Tuesday paid visits to Jacksonville Naval Air Station, Naval Station Mayport and Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base. The group, which also included The Big Show, Mark Henry, Titus O’Neil, The Miz and Dolph Ziggler, among others, signed autographs and posed for pictures with the men and women who keep the country secure.

“You hear about all these heroes … and all they do to help us and protect us, but to be able to put a face to that name, to be able to see these heroes and look them in the eye and say, ‘Thank you’ … I feel so grateful for the platform that we have at WWE to be able to set up an opportunity like this, to come out and meet new friends, and make and build new relationships,” Reigns said.

“It’s just an honor to work with these people,” O’Neil told Military.com. “I’m so thankful to be here for this event.”

More on the facilities: Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NAS Jax) stands out as a master air and industrial base which makes up the branch’s finest example of anti-submarine warfare. Naval Station Mayport (NS Mayport) prides itself as the “finest service to the finest fleet” as its the third-largest fleet concentration area in the country with a seaport and an air facility. Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay (NSB Kings Bay) seeks to provide top-notch support to the Fleet, Fighter and Family while operating the East Coast homeport for the Ohio-class nuclear powered ballistic missile and guided missile submarines.

WWE Tribute to the Troops airs on USA Network Dec. 23 at 8/7c. The special, as part of WWE Week, also features Howie Mandel and “Drops of Jupiter” hitmakers Train.
