Which A-Lister Helped Halle Berry Win Case Against Paparazzi?

In the battle of celebrities vs. the paparazzi…score one for the stars! Halle Berry won her case against the photogs, getting Senate Bill 606 passed, which changes the definition of harassment. Now the definition will include photographing or recording a child without the permission of his or her legal guardian.

The pregnant actress had some help on her final day in court, from fellow A-lister Jennifer Garner. “I chose a public life,” Jennifer testified. “My three children are private citizens. I love my kids. They’re beautiful and sweet and innocent, and I don’t want a gang of shouting, arguing, lawbreaking photographers who camp out everywhere we are all day, every day, to continue traumatizing my kids.”

Halle has repeatedly tried to keep reporters and paparazzi from hounding her daughter, Nahla, at school. While on the stand Tuesday, she got specific, with stories about how photographers would ask her 5-year-old how she felt about possibly never seeing her father again (Halle and her ex Gabriel Aubry famously engaged in a vicious custody battle after their separation).

“They say curse words and call me names, all trying to provoke some sort of response to sell a photograph,” she explained.
