Val Kilmer appears to be fighting an ugly battle.
The actor struggled to speak during his first public appearance since denying he has throat cancer.
Kilmer presented the film version of his play Citizen Twain in Los Angeles on Thursday and explained to the audience that he had to cancel his upcoming tour because his “tongue swelled.”
“I went into rehearsals down in Florida and started having trouble with my speech,” he stated. “Obviously I’m still recovering and my tongue swelled up and I cancelled the tour. So as I’m recovering I’m showing this.”
