Happy Birthday, Jessica Simpson! Flashback to Her Biggest Hits!

Before Jessica Simpson was a mom-of-two and sort-of actress, she was one of the hottest pop singers in the game. Yep, I know, it’s easy to forget, since she hasn’t had a legitimate single out since 2006 (we’re going to forget about that time she tried to go country)!

But, we can’t forget some of Jess’s biggest hits like “With You” and “I Think I’m in Love With You,” and also how drastically different she looked in the music videos (can you say HOT)? So, in honor of Jessica’s 33rd birthday and the recent birth of her son, Ace, we’re flashing back down memory lane to some of our favorite Jessica videos. Check it out:

“I Wanna Love You Forever” – 1999

Jess was just 19 when her first single “I Wanna Love You Forever” debuted. It eventually climbed to number 3 on the charts, and remember, this is during the same year that Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera released their debut singles.

“I Think I’m In Love With You” – 2000

The next year, Jess released “I Think I’m In Love With You” off of the same album. It didn’t chart as high as “I Wanna Love You Forever,” and only made it to Number 21 in the US, but come on, every elementary school girl had a dance to this one…

“Irresistible” – 2001

If Jessica wasn’t known for her looks at this point, she definitely was after this sexy video. “Irresistible” was the title track and first single off of her second album and eventually reached Number 15 on the charts.

“Sweetest Sin” – 2003

Jessica made headlines when she announced that she was saving herself for marriage, so once she married Nick Lachey in 2002, all bets were off when it came to sexing up her videos. She had Nick co-star in the video for “Sweetest Sin,” and although the song didn’t really get anywhere, it’s definitely a video we’ll never forget (come on, remember the freezing cold video shoot on Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica)?

“With You” – 2003

Her third album’s breakout song was “With You,” especially because she used the video to poke fun at herself. We all remember (and laughed at) Jess’s comments about tuna and buffalo wings on Newlyweds, but Nick managed to still love her despite her, well, stupidity (until 2005, when they separated, at least). In the video, Jessica references those comments, and the song reached Number 14 on the charts, although it’s probably her most memorable.

“These Boots Are Made For Walkin'” – 2005

Jessica made her acting debut in The Dukes of Hazzard in 2005, and released a cover of the tune “These Boots Are Made For Walkin'” to go with the film. This video probably marks the best she’s ever looked, and she shows it off in a pair of daisy dukes.

“A Public Affair” – 2006

“A Public Affair” is probably Jessica’s last memorable single, and the video lived up to the hype with guest stars like Christina Applegate, Eva Longoria, Christina Millian and more.
