Just hours after Alan Thicke died, one of his sons, singer Robin Thicke, revealed to the Los Angeles Times that he believed his father was “the greatest man I ever met” and never failed to be a “gentleman.”
“The good thing was that he was beloved and he had closure,” Robin told the publication. “I saw him a few days ago and told him how much I loved and respected him.”
As Star reported, Alan, who played the dad on the television series Growing Pains in the 90’s, died after suffering a heart attack in front of his son Carter during a hockey game. The 69-year-old actor was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died.
Carter was first to post a heartbreaking photo of his dad and him smiling for the cameras during happier times.
Today I lost my best friend and my idol, and the world lost one of it’s finest. You are a legend and I love you Pops. Until next time. pic.twitter.com/ZQd2NZMTx4
