Adam Levine Takes the Heat for "I Hate This Country" Comment

Uh-oh! Adam Levine is feeling the pressure after Tuesday night’s The Voice eliminations. Not only was his team narrowed down from three to one (Judith Hill and Sarah Simmons were eliminated), but his under-the-breath comment has gotten the attention of America…and not necessarily in a good way.

Once Carson Daly got down to reading the last saved contestant out of three Adam muttered, “I hate this country!” under his breath, but unfortunately, his hot mic pack picked up the sound on-air. Many folks on Twitter took this comment the wrong way, but it seems like more of a spur-of-the-moment comment Adam made while frustrated with America for not giving his contestants enough votes.

Afterwards, Adam proved he meant the comment in good fun by posting definitions of the words joke, lighthearted, misunderstand and humorless on Twitter.

Get more details on Adam’s comment in the video below and let us know if you think he should be receiving so much flack for his words!:
