Hollywood may be all about sex, drugs and rock and roll, but according to bodyguard Wallace Safford, this was never the case for his close pal Prince!

"Prince was a client in the beginning of his career," Safford told
RadarOnline about his time with the fallen pop icon in the 80's. "When we filmed 'Purple Rain', that was the prime of his life right there," he reminisced.

Wallace also maintains that despite being a regular at some of the time's hottest nightclubs — including the infamous Studio 54, where he hosted a "Purple Rain" party on March 22, 1985 — the eccentric king of funk never partook in the 80's wild drug scene.

"He partied, but he didn't party," Wallace explained. "No drugs," he insisted. Contrary to popular belief, "He didn't do drugs. Not at all."

He didn't even indulge in alcohol! "I never knew him to drink either!" Wallace maintained. "I only saw him drink wine one time, and he got sick!"
