A store manager "went up to her and asked her to hand over the clothes, telling her she couldn't shop there anymore after what she had said," a source revealed at the time while she was dating Brandon Davis.

Then in 2006, she was kicked off

Nicole Richie's Memorial Day party! "Most of her Hollywood friends distanced themselves from her after that," an insider told

Months later she was arrested for driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, and driving without a license on Dec. 27. The 21-year-old was sentenced to three years of probation for her crimes.

Her rock-bottom came two years later in July 2009 when she was placed under an involuntary psychiatric 5150 hold. "It was a full-on breakdown," she later admitted of blacking out on drugs and threatening to kill herself.
