Sin City actress Jessica Alba was spotted Saturday in West Hollywood and she looked to be giving in to a pregnancy craving. The 36-year-old was carrying a take out order from the hip restaurant Urth Caffé. The Honest Company founder and CEO, who is known for her healthy diet, was carrying four plastic cups full of boba tea.
In case you are wondering, boba tea is a Taiwanese tea-based drink. It was invented in the 1980s but has recently become popular. Boba tea is also known as pearl milk tea, bubble milk tea, or simply boba. Most recipes for the trendy drink call for a tea base that is then mixed with fruit or milk. Little chewy balls made of tapioca give the drink it’s bubbly appearance.
Boba tea comes in a wide variety of flavors. Not surprisingly the nutritional value varies depending on what’s added. Urth Caffé specializes in healthy farm-to-table cuisine and organic coffees and teas so we can only imagine that Jessica was able to satisfy her craving without breaking from her clean diet.
Maybe that’s why the Fantastic Four star looks so amazing while pregnant. Jessica and her film producer hubby Cash Warren, 38, are expecting their third child together. Their new arrival will join big sisters Honor, 9, and Haven, 6.
