Twin Peaks star Lara Flynn Boyle, 47, was spotted walking her dog and smoking a cigarette in Beverly Hills on Saturday. The actress was barely recognizable, leaving fans of the cult classic asking, “What happened to Donna Hayward’s face?” The answer is most likely some seriously botched plastic surgery. In fact, famed surgeon of the reality show Botched, Paul S. Nassif, MD, FACS, who has not treated the actress, speculated in 2010 that Lara appeared to have undergone a variety of procedures including a nose job, lip augmentation, Botox, fillers, a facelift and a brow lift.

Dr. Nassif went on to express concern for the actress saying, “She should refrain from having any additional procedures and would not benefit from having further work performed at this time.” While Lara has neither confirmed nor denied having any cosmetic surgery she does not appear to have heeded the good doctor’s advice.

In sharp contrast to her extremely plumped up face, Lara’s body looks shockingly skeletal. The star has always been slender, but now it seems she’s lost even more weight. Could the actress’s drastically changed appearance be the reason she wasn’t cast in the 1992 prequel to the show, Fire Walk With Me? The role of Donna Hayward was recast for the film and played by actress Moira Kelly.
Both Lara and the show’s creator David Lynch have clamed that her notable absence from Fire Walk With Me was due to scheduling conflicts. But that doesn’t explain why Lara was missing yet again from the cast of Showtime’s 2017 revival, Twin Peaks: The Return. The character that launched Lara to stardom didn’t even appear in the 18-episode series much to fans’ shock and dismay.
