Nick Gordon, former boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, was arrested on charges domestic battery and false imprisonment after his live-in girlfriend Laura Leal told police the 21-year old hit her at their Sanford, Florida home. Sources close to Laura told TMZ that the incident began at a sports bar on Friday night when Nick accused her of trying to hook up with one of his friends.
TMZ obtained the police report in which Laura accuses Nick of “hitting and punching her in the face and back of the head with a closed fist,” and that the attack continued throughout the night. Early Saturday morning she broke away from Nick and woke his mother, who lives with the couple. Nick’s mother then drove Laura to the home of her sister, who then took Laura to the hospital.
Shortly after Laura filed the report at the police station officers arrested Nick and charged him with both domestic battery and kidnapping/false imprisonment of an adult. Nick denies these allegations and reportedly told law enforcement that Laura attacked him and he wanted to press charges against her.
It was just seven months ago that Nick was found legally responsible for Bobbi Kristina Brown’s 2015 death. Her family won the civil case by default after Nick failed to appear at two hearings. He was ordered to pay $36,000 to the estate of the only daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston.
