George Clooney finally confirmed his wife of two years, Amal Clooney, 39, is pregnant with twins — nearly three weeks after their baby bombshell.
In an interview with the French program Recontres de Cinema on Feb. 20, the 55-year-old actor shared how their pals reacted to their double baby joy.
“It got really quiet,” he told film journalist Laurent Weil during the interview around the 11-minute mark. “And they all just started making baby crying noises, and the whole table just busted up laughing.”
George, who turns 56 in May, mentioned during the interview that learning of other actors who started families late in the game, such as French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo, who was 70, when his child was born. “So I’m feeling a little better about being 56 by the time [they arrive],” he said.
As Star previously reported, rumors sparked that Amal was expecting as early as January when she was caught looking very bumpy.
“It’s exciting and we’re really happy and really excited,” he added. “It’s going to be an adventure.”
