The 24/7 workweek can take a major toll on our beauty and bodies. Stress causes havoc and leaves us feeling wiped out, while leading to premature aging. The pace may not slow down, but we can combat the effects of stress with a few simple strategies. Stick to these throughout your week and it will help you feel energized, youthful and calm.

Two yoga poses reduce stress, improve complexion and host energy.

Warrior III

Step 1: Place all the weight on your right foot. Slightly bend right knee and hinge at your hips until torso is close to parallel with the ground. Extend left leg to straight.

Step 2: Deeply engage the core to help keep you balanced. Extend arms up to frame the ears, turning palms to face one another and drawing shoulder blades together.

Step 3: Hold for five to 10 deep breaths.

High Lunge

Step 1: Stand with feet hip-width apart. Take a big step back with right foot. Deeply bend both legs until left knee is directly over left ankle. Keep torso directly above hips, chest up.

Step 2: Deeply engage the core to help keep you balanced. Extend arms up to frame the ears, turning palms to face each other and drawing shoulder blades together.

Step 3: Hold for five to 10 deep breaths.
