Katie Fogle, Jared Fogle‘s wife, announced she’s filing for divorce against the former subway spokesman.
“Obviously, I am extremely shocked and disappointed by the recent developments involving Jared. I am in the process of seeking a dissolution of the marriage,” Katie says in a statement from lawyer James Reed of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP. “My focus is exclusively on the well-being of my children. Neither I nor my family will have further comment on the matter. I appreciate respect for my family’s privacy during this difficult time.”

Katie was Jared’s second marriage, who he married in 2010; his first was with Elizabeth Christie (2001-2007).
The former Subway spokesman (the restaurant announced this week that it was cutting all ties to Fogle), was caught sending text messages to “escorts over the course of two years seeking sex partners in the age range of 14-15,” Radar revealed about the court documents. Authorities spent 11 hours raiding Fogle’s Indiana home on July 7, where multiple electronics were removed with other items for evidence.

Reports say that out of the 14 minors, Fogle, 37, will plead guilty to two federal counts including “distributing and receiving visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct and conspiring with others to do so,” plus crossing state lines to “engage in unlawful commercial sexual acts with minors.” He’ll also be responsible for paying “1.4 million to be distributed equally to 14 underage victims, receive counseling and register as a sex offender,” RadarOnline reported after reviewing court docs in the investigation state.
Fogle’s sentence time has yet to be determined, but he’ll serve at least five years in prison in his agreement, but could serve more than 12 years if prosecutors win.
