And they’re off! Jill Duggar, her hubby Derick Dillard, and their baby boy Israel David, flew abroad to their new home on July 5.

Jessa Seewald (Duggar), Jill’s younger sister, documented the family’s departure via a post on Instagram of the three hugging, as they got ready to board the plane to their new life abroad.

The image was captioned, “so excited for @jillmdillard & @derickdillard! They’ve been praying about and working towards this transition since late last year, and are so excited to finally be heading to the mission field! Please continue to pray for them! And be sure to check out their blog at www.dillardfamily.com ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’ Mark 16:15.”

Star readers know that the couple revealed their plan to travel abroad on a mission trip on their family’s blog, which is something they have wanted to do as a family for some time now. Although it is unclear how long this family of three will be gone, they did suggest their trip would be “longer than the typical short-term mission trip.”

“Since we first began our relationship, it has always been our goal that Jesus Christ might be glorified as we serve others through family ministry by whatever means that might be,” the couple wrote on their blog.

Star also reported the 19 Kids and Counting stars Jessa and Jill and their husbands stepped out for the first time nearly a couple of weeks ago after the Josh Duggar scandal stole headlines for weeks. From the looks of their smiles in their Instagram snapshots, the family was ready to move forward. The two couples (plus Israel) traveled to Ohio for a Christian music festival on June 20. Even though the festival was expecting Josh Duggar and his wife Anna, the two decided to stay home and remain quiet.
