Things are getting internet-awkward real fast between these two.

When a fan asked Iggy Azalea on Twitter why her and Britney Spears‘s song “Pretty Girls” never became a hit, Iggy tweeted this: “its difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and tv performances etc. unfortunately I’m just featured… would have enjoyed performing it alot, i think it got off to a powerful start. but you need content to compete in 2015.”

So when the internet blew up about her “shading” Britney Spears with this comment, Iggy signed right back on Twitter and set her comment straight, which read:”my comment is factual, it applies to any song. I dont have to suck the womans asshole 24/7 to be her friend, do i? bye girls.”

Iggy continued, insisting that she was never dissing Britney to begin with: “Genuine friends have genuine opinions. Its possible & healthy to have a different thought without it being bitchy or shade.”

From the sounds of it, Britney didn’t buy Iggy’s clarifying remarks. Britney later wrote a tweet that tagged Iggy: “Unfortunately im just featured” @iggyazalea You called to @britneyspears for change the cover and make it your own.”

So how do you win a fight like this? Remind the other music artist who has shows lined up, which is exactly what Britney tweeted last: “Can’t wait to get back to Vegas. So thankful I have shows for the rest of the year to look forward to… #YouWantAPieceOfMe”
