Beauty Obsession: RPZL Extension Bar

If you’re still swooning over the fact that blowout bars are a thing, you may want to sit down because Star has something even better: extension bars.

Fun fact: just about every #hairgoals celeb you see is rocking some kind of fake hair, whether they be clip-ins, weaves or the newest type, tape extensions. Some stars, like Blake Lively (yes, it’s true) wear several different types at once to give a fuller ook.

So how can the rest of us get covetable hair without an A-list budget? One new salon in New York City called RPZL (Rapunzel, get it?!) will give you a head full of extensions in about 90 minutes. The stylists work with you to select the perfect type (clip-in, tape or cold fusion), color, they trim it to blend with your own hair, and then give you a Beyonce-ish blowout. Check out one Star editor’s before and after!

Unbeweavable! Star caught Keith Richards’ socialite daughter Alexandra getting coiffed at RPZL and it’s become the go-to spot girls who need a few extra inches ASAP. And if you don’t have extensions, you can still get a great blow out a la Drybar or Dream Dry, and won’t get uncharged if you bring in your own clip-ins.

But what if you don’t happen to live in Manhattan? Are you doomed to stagger through life with thin locks? No! You can totally cop clip-ins for yourself.

Pop into a wig or beauty supply store and get a few panels of virgin Indian hair (avoid synthetic weaves at all cost!) for about $80-$200, then have your stylist clip them in (they can teach you how and where to place them) and cut the panels to blend in. And voila! A red carpet-worthy look that you can take out at the end of the day and heat style like your actual hair.

Which celeb has the most Pinnable hair around? Do you lust more over Jennifer Lopez’s locks or Blake’s blow outs? Or do you find the idea of wearing someone else’s hair too creepy for words?
