Someone should tell 19 Kids & Counting stars Jill and Derick Dillard that April Fool’s Day ended days ago!
Earlier on Friday, Derick excitedly jumped on social media to confess that his wife of one year was in labor.
“I can’t even describe right now the anticipation I am feeling, as I am about to get to meet my firstborn son for the first time face to face,” he admitted. “So many people have already testified that nothing can quite describe that moment and that I’ll just have to experience it for myself.”
He continued, “When I look around, I can see new life everywhere. The trees are budding, which means summer is near. My wife, Jill, is beginning to have contractions which means that the birth of our son is near.”
Unfortunately for him, he spoke too soon. Jill was actually suffering from Braxton Hicks contractions.
So, it looks like the young couple will have to wait a little while longer before they can finally bring their son into the world.
“Out to lunch…maybe this spicy Mexican food will make the baby come!” Jill later captioned a photo on Instagram. “Only Braxton Hicks contractions with this weather so far. We shall see what the weekend brings!”
