Real Housewives of Atlanta Recap: Phaedra's Finally Ready For a Divorce

Real Housewives of Atlanta Recap

On Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, we saw the aftermath of “Attack NeNe Day,” which continues at the therapist’s office. While Dr. Jeff tries, in vain, to get NeNe Leakes to come back to the session, the other ladies continue to hash out their issues without her. This shockingly leads to Kenya Moore and Claudia Jordan apologizing for attacking Porsha Williams on the group’s recent trip to Puerto Rico. In fact, the meeting even ends with a group hug and the ladies making a video message for NeNe, who returns home to rehearse for her role in Broadway’s Cinderella.

Meanwhile, Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey meet up with their husbands to gossip (of course), this time, about NeNe, who appears to be Cynthia’s favorite topic of conversation. Kandi also shares her thoughts on Phaedra Parks, whom she continues to insist she has no issue with.

In the meantime, Phaedra has a very tearful conversation with a friend about her husband, Apollo Nida’s current incarceration. She admits it’s given her peace of mind knowing he’s not in a position to hurt her. And speaking of hurt, Cynthia leaves the viewers in pain during a read through for Kenya’s production of Life Twirls On, during which the model speaks in a horribly inauthentic Caribbean accent.

Apparently, the therapy session went so well for Claudia, she Skypes with him for a one-on-one, with the conversation eventually leading back to her relationship with the rest of the cast. The therapist suggests another trip to help give the group an opportunity to hash out the issues.

So, while Claudia and the girls have a trip to the Philippines on their mind, Phaedra has divorce on hers. She consults with an attorney about legally moving on from Apollo, and admits she’s cleaning up her husband’s “trail of madness” as she continues to put the pieces of her life back together.

Up next week: Kenya and Phaedra hug it out on vacation.
