Nick Gordon has remained mostly out of the public eye since his girlfriend Bobbi Kristina was hospitalized at the end of last month, but this week, he took to Twitter to pay tribute to the ailing 21-year-old. Without an explanation, Nick changed his avatar on the social media site to a photo of his arm tattoo that reads ‘Bobbi Kristina’ in cursive.
On top of that, Gordon tweeted for the first time in nearly two months, acknowledging his ladylove and thanking supporters. “Thank you for all your prayers,” he wrote. “She is a strong person and will pull through this. Continue to pray for her.”
Last week, Nick opened up for the first time since Bobbi’s hospitalization, via a statement from his lawyer. Amidst speculation that Nick was fighting for rights to sit by his girlfriend’s bedside, the statement read, “In response to reports that Nick Gordon is taking legal action, he would like it to be clear, he’s not. He remains in constant prayer for his companion and he hopes to be reunited with her soon. Despite the public interest, we ask and hope that this request can be resolved privately by Mr. Gordon and the family.”
Whitney Houston’s daughter was found unresponsive in her bathtub on Jan. 31, and subsequently placed in a medically-induced coma. The incident is currently being treated as a criminal investigation, as Bobbi was found with injuries on her body, and it is unknown whether or not Nick had any involvement in the findings.
