She already has a slew of awards under her belt — even an Oscar! — but is Jennifer Lawrence ready to add Grammy to that list!? Okay, probably not, but the A-lister is shockingly making her way into the music world thanks to a scene from her new movie The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.
In the film, the Silver Linings Playbook star sings “The Hanging Tree” while leading a rebellion against the Capitol, and the catchy tune gained so much popularity that it’s climbing the charts! Billboard revealed on Tuesday that Jennifer made her debut on the Hot 100 at No. 12.
But while the world may be falling in love with Jen’s rendition of the tune, the 24-year-old herself cringes at the thought of it! “I do not like singing in front of people,” she previously said. “It’s, like, my biggest fear. I cried. It was awful.” In fact, at the time of that interview, she still hadn’t heard or watched the scene!
Time to get back in that studio, girl!
