Diem Brown has lost her years-long battle with cancer. The MTV reality star passed away on Friday at the age of 32.
The gorgeous blonde first appeared on The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat in 2006, where she placed fourth with Derrick Kosinski as her partner. She went on to compete on several more seasons of the popular MTV series, and even dated fellow competitor CT Tamburello.
During Fresh Meat, Diem revealed that she had ovarian cancer (she was just 23at the time). The cancer returned in 2012, and after several months of chemo and other treatments, she went into remission in 2013.
However, over the summer, Diem’s cancer returned, this time spreading to her stomach, colon, lymph nodes and liver. Throughout the last several weeks, she has remained positive, but family and friends have slowly been gathering by her side as her condition worsened.
“I NEED PRAyErs and advice my doctors are seemingly giving up but I won’t & can’t rollover,” she wrote on Tuesday. “Whatever option I have to LIVE I’m grabbing!”
