She’s baaaaaaack. Less than a day after Amanda Bynes was released from her involuntary hold at a psychiatric facility, she’s returned to Twitter to defend herself and state of mind, while lashing out at her parents in the process.
“It is not illegal to talk about my personal business,” she began, leading into a series of tweets about her condition. “I am going to court today with my lawyer to prove that I am more than capable of handling my personal life and finances and I am enraged.”
Earlier this week, the 28-year-old’s mom, Lynn, received a temporary conservatorship over her daughter, giving her control of Amanda’s medical and financial decisions. “I got a 4.0 grade point average at @FIDM and I am fully capable of taking care of myself and my finances and my parents just want to take…” she ranted.
In September, before her hospitalization, the actress made shocking claims about her father on Twitter, revealing that he’d sexually abused her. Her parents denied the allegations, but Amanda is sticking to her story. “I got released from the hospital that Sam Lufti and my parents arranged to send me to because my dad is humiliated by what he’s done,” she wrote. “The police filed a report against my dad – I am not able to be in the same room with him. He is a sexual predator and he SHOULD BE IN JAIL.”
She reiterated that she does “not need help” making decisions, and concluded that she won’t “continue to allow them [her parents] to abuse me any more!”
Before signing off (for now), Amanda made sure to comment on her physical appearance, and explain why she might look a little bit worse for the wear right now. “Also Love Bugs, I look horrible right now because I had a procedure done under my eyes to remove micro cysts under my eyes,” she explained. “so I need to Wear a bandage To Court.”
